Belt Fit Guide
Hawkins & Co. Leather — Belt Fit Guide
Finding your perfect belt size is simple, and it ensures your belt fits comfortably in the center holes, just the way it’s designed.
1. Use Your Jean Size (Non-Stretch Preferred)
For the most accurate fit, start with the size of your non-stretch jeans—the pair that gives you your truest waist measurement.
-
If you wear a size 32 jean, We will make a size 34-38 inch belt.
-
Most customers find their ideal belt size is larger than their jean size.
Stretchy jeans can sit differently on the waist and may throw off your belt measurement, so always size from your non-stretch denim when possible.
2. Measure an Old Belt (Optional but Most Accurate)
If you have a belt that fits well, lay it flat and measure from the fold where the leather meets the buckle to the hole you use most.
-
Match that number to our size chart to find your exact Hawkins & Co. belt size.
3. How a Proper Fit Should Look
When sized correctly, your belt should buckle comfortably within the middle three holes.
This allows flexibility for seasonal changes, layering, and natural leather stretching over time.
